What is Spravato Nasal Spray
Spravato is an FDA-approved nasal spray containing esketamine, a compound related to ketamine, specifically designed for individuals with treatment-resistant depression and major depressive disorder.
We are pleased to offer this innovative treatment, which is covered by most insurance plans, including commercial insurances and selected Medicaid plans.
Important Safety Information About SPRAVATO
At MindBodyPinnacle Health, we ensure all patients receive comprehensive safety guidance before starting treatment. Below are key safety considerations:
-
Sedation, dissociation, and respiratory depression: May cause dizziness, sedation, disconnection from self (dissociation), and breathing problems. You will be monitored for at least 2 hours post-dose.
-
Abuse and misuse potential: Your provider will assess substance use history before and during treatment.
-
REMS Program access only: SPRAVATO is only available through certified REMS clinics like ours.
-
Suicidal thoughts and behaviors: Particularly in patients under 24. Monitoring for mood changes is essential.
How Spravato Nasal Spray Works
At MindBodyPinnacle Health, we prioritize thorough care. After administering Spravato, we monitor patients for a minimum of two hours for safety and comfort. This period also facilitates ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, which may occur during the latter part of observation or the next day. These sessions are crucial for integrating treatment experiences into the broader therapeutic process, often resulting in major breakthroughs and improved healing from trauma.

Starting Your Journey with Spravato at MindBodyPinnacle Health
Your journey to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy starts with a detailed 60-minute intake session, available both in-person and online, where we discuss your mental health goals, lifestyle, and medical history to create a customized treatment plan. We work closely with your insurance to handle pre-authorizations and minimize your costs, informing you about all financial options. While IV ketamine is often not covered, Spravato™ is more likely to be insurance-eligible and comes with a rebate program that could reduce costs to as low as $10 per visit.
